Look at the image at the beginning of this article. When you turn the Fire HD 8 sideways, there are two speakers on the top, one on the left and one on the right. This makes it stereo. There are air vent holes in the speaker part, but because it is highly directional, the sound travels upwards. Therefore, to get the most out of the Fire HD 8 speaker, it is correct to place it "face down" on a desk or floor as shown in the image. Point the speaker's air vents toward you. This way, you obviously can't see the screen, but that's fine, because you're only listening to music. (laughs) This is all it takes, but it makes a huge difference in the volume.

Seriously, Michi was able to enjoy listening to the entire "Meistersinger" from Bayreuth 2019, broadcast by NHK on FM. Even with radio-quality sound, you can listen to it quite well if you choose the time and place. You can easily take it to the bathroom.
