It didn't mop however and its cleaning pads were fiddly to attach and could not deal with dried-on dirt.

Its app is a little on the basic side with no advanced features such as multiple cleaning modes and automated scheduling. It works with Alexa but its voice controls don't seem to be very intuitive or responsive. It's also a bit sporadic when it returns to the charging station after the course. Other robots can follow a wall or trace an earlier route, but the RX3 is a mess until it gives up.

We also experienced issues with the smart features of the device, including its mapping feature as well as digital stay-out zones. While it did a good job of keeping away from our shoes and furniture legs but it could easily be stuck by cables and socks, and was unable to handle the tassels that adorn carpets. We didn't include the Scout RX3 in our Best Buy list. Still, with a decent price and a dazzling performance, the Scout RX3 is worth considering in the event you're looking to find an alternative to traditional uprights.
